"Perfect location for walking into the city or to the railway station (no more than 10-15mins). Stayed in the delux double bedroom in the annex. Confused as room didn’t match the images on their website. Duty manager informed and he agreed and apologised. For a delux room would have expected more luxuries, the only benefit seemed to be size of room and en-suite. Breakfast options ok, but as for advertising continental options, only saw yoghurt "

"We stayed for 3 nights for a Christmas shopping trip, the hotel is in a perfect location very close to York Minster and with lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. "Very pleased with our visit to Ascot House. The owner was very friendly and informative. The room was lovely,the bed and bedding excellent and the bathroom was superb. The breakfast each day was very tasty and the food cooked to order. The location was also excellent. Just over 10 minutes walk into York and a bus stop just down the road. Car park at Ascot House available but sometimes full. However parking allowed on side road so no problem. "

"The provided facilities, in terms of the fridge shack etc could do with updating and the site is a lot smaller than anticipated so we were greatful of only one other pod being occupied. Had there have been others there, there wouldn’t have been much privacy at all.
