"When we arrived to check in It was a little worrisome that the the front door of the hotel was locked and the phone # on the door was disconnected. Fortunately the 2nd phone number listed was answered and the mgr let us in. She was very nice and helpful. The room needed new carpet and another trash can near the desk(there was only 1 in the bathroom) but other than that our room was fine. There was a nice seating area just outside in the large porch. "Beautiful and impressive mansion like staying inside a castle. I was impressed with all the antique furnitures. That was a treat for me. I was grateful for the talk after breakfast about the history of the place. Downside was that some staff services and the logistics could have been better. The hair conditioner bottle was indeed shampoo. My dietary preference at breakfast didn’t make it to the kitchen staff (or it was ignored/ forgotten). Staff Couldn’t find the key to my room upon check in. "

"Our stay was pleasant. The room was clean and orderly. We had a small issue with a bug in the room but we called the front desk and they came right down to handle the situation. Overall our stay was good for we needed."
