"Beautiful and impressive mansion like staying inside a castle. I was impressed with all the antique furnitures. That was a treat for me. I was grateful for the talk after breakfast about the history of the place. Downside was that some staff services and the logistics could have been better. The hair conditioner bottle was indeed shampoo. My dietary preference at breakfast didn’t make it to the kitchen staff (or it was ignored/ forgotten). Staff Couldn’t find the key to my room upon check in. "

"The history of the home is awesome. The property needs LOTS of TLC. The front desk check in folks were so nice and polite. However, the breakfast wait staff was horrible. These two ladies were extremely rude to not only our group, but to others as well. Thursday was our first morning to visit the restaurant. The ladies were smiling and very nice. "When we arrived to check in It was a little worrisome that the the front door of the hotel was locked and the phone # on the door was disconnected. Fortunately the 2nd phone number listed was answered and the mgr let us in. She was very nice and helpful. The room needed new carpet and another trash can near the desk(there was only 1 in the bathroom) but other than that our room was fine. There was a nice seating area just outside in the large porch. "A clean and spacious place to stay right in the heart of Jackson. I had a little initial trouble as my room had a large industrial fan in it, but I was swiftly assigned another room that was equally nice and fan-free. The included breakfast was ample and tasty, and if you're interested in the state history and Civil Rights museums, they are literally across the street."

"GardenSong is in a great location! We were able to walk to places we wished to visit in the downtown area. Self check-in worked well. My only issue involves food/drink. A message from GardenSong indicated "Southern Breakfast Included." A second message indicated "Help yourself to a complimentary beverage in your room upon your arrival - cereals and yogurts are available as well."
