"The room we stayed in would benefit with a fan because the room got very hot in the evening. Fly screens would also be a nice improvement to keep the bugs out whilst trying to cool the room down with the cooler evening air. "

"Updated older property. We rented one of their larger rooms and were surprised that our room did not have AC however other rooms in the hotel did have AC. Shower was nice and had a large jet tub however we did not have time to use it. The breakfasts that we had at the hotel were fine with plenty to eat at buffet style breakfast."

"Excellent location. No A/C for the private units and when the West sun beams into the room, it gets uncomfortably hot. This is only an issue in the heat of summer, of course. Also, people running on the wooden porch outside is heard (loudly) in the rooms."

"Great stay. We had a villa. No view. Carpet had a musty smell but other than that everything was great. Great breakfast buffet and having a sauna to use was really nice. Staff was friendly. Bed comfortable. Nice bathroom. "

"The Kelvin Hotel is fabulous. All the staff and super helpful and friendly especially Petro on the front desk and the Level One restaurant served delicious food with generous portions. "This hotel is right on the front beach strip at the lake. We had a peak of the lake and hills out our window over the roof next door. The staff is lovely and the area is remarkably beautiful! Thanks, Kingsgate!"

"A pleasant place. No pretensions but clean enough and comfortable (I stayed in the hotel, not the motel, so I don’t know what the motel rooms are like). The staff were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was surprisingly good. The hotel is a little way outside the cbd so only convenient if you have a car. "Our stay on this luxury boat in Milford Sound was absolutely unforgettable—easily a 5-star experience!
