"The hotel is very unique and darling. Staff was friendly and helpful. The area is not very safe and across from a homeless shelter, so there were a lot of homeless people on the sidewalks and surrounding areas. That caused some nervousness for my young daughter who I was traveling with. Friends who live in Portland told us not to leave the hotel after dark and to not park our car on the street. "It was just a little more rundown and shabby than what I usually get with motel six with very few exceptions. Ironically, when we moved to Portland in 1964 it was actually six dollars! Lol and the same McDonald’s hamburgers was across the street where it still is and the burgers were $.19"
