"This is a beautiful property in an idyllic location with plenty of comfortable space for our family of 8. The garden couldn't have been more scenic, with a footpath which lead to a sheep paddock where the keeper was an absolute delight to converse with on several occasions. *Bottom line, we would all love to stay here again!* As travelers from across the Atlantic, there are a few little things which would've gone a long way toward making our stay even easier. "Absolute gem of a property. Perfect secluded location with a local pub in walking distance. Very user friendly accommodation with all the comforts of home. Easy check in on arrival and safe outdoor area. Comfortable seating in lounge and bed Perfect.."

"Stayed for afew days for a wedding, our stay also included New Years eve. The cottage was perfect for the 4 of us with more space than we were expecting. We had a great time playing games and sitting round the log fire talking. The wi-fi was also good which was great for streaming movies etc. The weather was a bit wild when we were there so we didnt get the most from the walks that are on the door step. Good communication from Susie throughout our stay. Would certainly stay again. "

"Lovely cottage, full of charm, great location and only a stone throw from the Main Street with an abundance of independent shops including a butchers and cute deli. Communication from the host was good and check in was easy Thank you for the milk and cake which was a lovely surprise. Would not hesitate to book again. "

"Stayed here in October, opened the door to a smell of cold & damp that never really went away. Heating kept resetting to cold & was out of our control. Daughter had to spray perfume to mask the smell in her room. Damp damage visible throughout. Hosts refused to stop the heating resetting so every morning & every time we came back after being out, it was cold & damp & smelly again. Nice enough cottage otherwise I suppose."

"My wife and I and another couple loved staying at Mallard Cottage. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size and the laundry with a clothes dryer was really appreciated. The living area enjoyed floor to ceiling glass looking out on a sunny, relaxing garden which sloped down to the fast flowing river. It was a short walk in to the centre of the city. Hosts, David and Deepti, were welcoming and very helpful. I highly recommend this cottage to others."

"The location was perfect for long walks. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. There is plenty of space and the upstairs room, which we didn’t use, is ideal for a small family to have their own space. Plenty of hot water and the hosts were incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend, especially for a family group. We didn’t take advantage of the go karts but I could see they’d be lots of fun for children."

"Overall this is a great property. Very secluded but near to main roads and easy access to amenities. There are however a few things that would have made a vast improvement to the property considering the cost to rent. The sitting room could do with more and better seating. Considering this is for 4 people, 2 small sofas is not sufficient for evening comfort especially considering the dining area can accommodate 8 people.
