"Good base for getting to all the shops and sites in Brighton. A bit small and cosy but was fine for 5 people. Not enough seating areas for more. Need to be aware you are next to a very busy road so will hear lots of people walking past and traffic noise but fine for a short break."

"The property really couldn’t have been any better for our weekend celebrating my sister’s hen party. The location was perfect - central, seconds from the sea and near to all of our planned activities. The communal areas were fantastic, especially the large dining area. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Excellent communication with the host too, thank you!"

"Lodge Cottage is fabulous and ticks all the boxes for a lovely break away. Accommodation is spotless and has everything you need. Looking forward to coming back in the summer months to enjoy the pretty outside areas."

"The property is large and comfortable, in a lovely quiet area in Ditchling village. The owners were very helpful. The only let down was the shower which needs renewing, and the Hob also needs renewing. One of the single bed duvets was not particularly clean. "

One of the blinds was broken and not the best blinds to block out sunlight very bright in the twin rooms. The front door lock needs looking at as wouldn't always unlock the latch at the top. "A great property in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view of the Downs hillside. I enjoyed watching all of the birds playing outside the livingroom window in the mornings and evenings. We stayed for a week from June 3-10, 2024.The property is as listed. Although, after we washed some of our clothes we didn't have a clothing dryer to dry them. "Great house to stay in with a large group. If you are looking for privacy from family (Honeymoon) this isn't the right place as you can hear everything. However we had a blast and the property is just amazing. We had an issue with one of the showers leaking but thw host was right on it and swnt a plumber asap to try and fix the problem. They were great with communication throughout our entire stay. 10/10 would recommend and stay again. "

"We had an amazing holiday in a fab house on the beach in Pevensey. Our grand children loved it too! Great for walks , swimming in the sea , the hot tub was great fun. The location was great for trips further afield too! We loved the pubs and food and added another memorable holiday of family autumn breaks. "

"Staff we amazing - hospitable, friendly and really accommodating. They had great recommendations for the local area, the room was a great size for four people, and it was extremely clean. Great amenities available, and lovely surrounding area for food, pubs, and good vibes. Will definitely be returning here when I next visit!"

A great choice of hotel for a lower budget hotel.

"If you’re on a budget and still want to be well located for a Brighton getaway this hotel is perfect. As you walk in the reception desk is on your left and a very cozy bar is straight ahead. Very nice and professional staff. I got a sea view double and the staff put me in 419 which is apparently the nicest sea view room. It’s a nice but basic double room with a flatscreen tv, coffee / tea area, wardrobe, desk etc. the floors are a bit uneven but that seems to be the theme in this old hotel. The shower was a rain shower which felt amazing after a cold walk on the beach. All in all it was a very comfortable and pleasurable stay, on my last night we stayed up in the bare top maybe 3am, bar stays open til the last resident goes to bed. Note - checkout is at 11am but if you like a later checkout you can delay your departure for £7.50 per hour, latest checkout is 2pm. I have Amy’s to leave at 1pm so I paid £15. You have to arrange and pay for this before or on the last night of your stay. "
