On Friday night when we arrived, sat having drinks in the garden we were lucky enough to see a mother deer and her fawn skipping up the fields behind us. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed, large spacious bedrooms and a lovely hot tub. We had lunch in the dog and gun pub just up the road and the food was delicious. "The owner had doulbe booked this property on Vrbo and another major booking platform (think BnB). No arrival details were provided to us before hand but we turned up to the address anyway and attempted to ring the host's contact number...no answer. We knocked on the door to find other guests already staying there who had booked it the other major booking platform and who had been in contact with the host (named John) all day. This disastrous start to the trip left us frantically looking for...

"Really enjoyed our stay at 1 Brook House. Very comfortable cottage, charming decor and plenty of room. It was the ideal base for our day walks in the Peak District. "
