Early colonial style homestead [circa 1906]
5/5 Excellent
Country house
"Unique country house that apart from some mod cons is exactly as it was when built in 1906. The road in is dusty and can be rough in parts but is accessible by 2 wheel drive vehicles. It might be different in wet weather but if you take it easy you will get there. The house is comfortable and well set up. There is wi fi and mobile phone connection. Exploring the property on foot is well worth it, just bring a sturdy pair of shoes. Make sure you take the time to visit the old gold mining town of Hill End which is only a short drive away. Plenty to see and do in Hill End plus the neighbouring village of Sofala. Overall a great place for at least 3 days - we stayed for a whole week."
