"The Bear Dean was the perfect place to return to after spending our days snowmobiling nearby. The home is welcoming, roomy and fresh. Where your thing is conversation in the living room or boardgames at the dining table, the space offered plenty of room to gather and have fun. "Owner Corey lives next door, was very helpful, and came over to introduce us to his place. One of our party of 4 slept on the sofabed, which was comfortable but in the main living space - not an issue for us. The location neighborhood is a bit unusual, but fine, and a few minutes drive from downtown Nelson. We would stay at Corey's place again."

"The property is exactly as it is listed. Walk two blocks, and you are right in the heart of shopping and excellent restaurants. It was a great central location for hitting the ski hill as well. "We needed a place to rest and recover between two backcountry ski trips and this was the perfect place. Lisa was extremely helpful and accomodating during our visit. We loved the location as we could walk to everything. It is quite uphill to get back home, but not too daunting. The old house is very comfortable and furnished for comfortable living. "This house and property exceeded our expectations. The house isn’t visible from the road and the property is a hidden gem in the little town of Ymir. We loved staying here and the details that were put into the house and property are done with real care and intention. It was hot while we were there, but the house is well built and insulated, so even though it doesn’t have any A/C, it holds its temperature and cools off at night when the windows are open. "Great property. Clean and spacious. Lots of things for the kids to do. The zipline was a huge hit. Hot tub was amazing and very clean. Was right beside some incredible mountain biking. There was also a fantastic running path right down the road that dogs can run off leash. The house itself was perfect. Lots of room for the kids to play and sleep comfortably. "My husband and son and I got the chance to go to Nelson for the weekend and had the opportunity to stay in this cute little getaway. The Roads are steep and no joke up to the house, but Canada does a great job with their snow removal and putting down sand to help with the ice. Andrew was really attentive and great.
