"Wonderful welcome on arrival by the owner, Sue. The room is lovely and big with a large bathroom, it's spotlessly clean everywhere with beautiful decor. There is a little fridge in the room with milk for hot drinks, a nice touch. The breakfast each morning is superb with the best eggs we've ever tasted (from their own chickens). We have already booked for next year at the same time. Highly recommended."

"I have stayed here many times. Southern Cross is an ancient Devon thatched cottage and grade 2 listed building. It is quaint and quirky. The service is brilliant, the breakfast is excellent and very dog friendly. I always enjoy my stay. "

"Warm and comfortable for a winter break. Plenty of room. Needed some minor repairs which we passed on. Ideally situated for Sidmouth and other nearby coastal towns. Overall very pleasant. "
