"Only two negatives really - laundry very expensive (always is). Room card stopped working 6 times and I had to go to the reception each time. They eventually changed a battery in the door but this took too long. Everything else great "

"I needed to be close to KazNU and this was walking distance. It faces a nice open area next to great walking park. Food and mall close by. It has the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen, including an omelette station. Friendly helpful staff. Second time I stayed here and will stay here in future visits."

"The views are spectacular. The staff is friendly and helpful. Love that each room has its own sauna. Take advantage of the restaurant for lunch or an early dinner. Managing the gondola timing is easy. And if you miss the lower gondola, there a taxis that can take you to the second stop. We had more than enough time to go to the city and make it back before the last gondola."

"If you’re searching for a hotel to stay in Almaty but you’re put off by the room rates at the Ritz-Carlton, my advice is get a temporary second job to increase your budget because this hotel, their staff and the facilities are worth every penny of the cost. The staff are second to none in their attention to detail, their anticipation of your requirements and going the extra mile to make your stay not just good but verging on the magical! The management deserve an accolade for achieving such a high standard of service from every member of staff in all departments of this hotel. Bravissimo! "
