"When is a resort not a resort? In this case, when it doesn't provide any facilities outside the room. There's a rooftop bar in summer but nothing at other times. Staff were pleasant but breakfast was limited and when we asked for a second cup of coffee we had to pay for it. The room is large but was taken up by 4 double futons and a massive hanging screen for projecting TV/video. We felt it was intended for a large group who wanted to watch DVDs all day. "部屋がとても綺麗でアメニティもおしゃれでした。特に浴衣とバックがおしゃれでした。朝食は、お正月の特別メニューでお雑煮がありましたが、ホットドッグが食べたかったため、食べませんでした。大浴場もコインランドリーも隣のオリエンタルホテルのが使えるのがとてもいいと思いました。また機会があれば、是非来たいです。"

Great hotel, a bit out of town

"A very nice hotel at a very fair price. We did make an error in not checking the location. It is about 30 minutes out of central Kurashiki. This required a local train which runs every 30 mins or so. There were some restaurants close by and we both enjoyed the Onsen baths. So swings and roundabouts but enjoyed our stay."
