"I had a very good stay there, the only downside is the location. It sits in a quiet residential area, the closest transportation station is10 minutes away, but I don’t have the problem at all. The Kyoto gyoen national garden is very close, that is a big plus."

"At 1 station away from Kyoto station, it's a great location. There are very good restaurants on the lower floor of the hotel. My room was big and clean, and the staff were very nice. The only bad thing I have to say about the hotel is concerning the washing machines. First there are only 4 machines for all the rooms. I didn't count them but I'd estimate about 90 room. Second, they are a washer/dryer combo, so it takes 2h to complete a 3kg load. Some people are hogging 1 or 2 machines, others are lining up the hallway to get the next free machine. It's very unpleasant when you're on a 3 week vacation and you really, really, need to wash your clothes. I even got up 'round 3 am to get a machine ... but no cigar."
