"Our family of five from Canada (2 adults and 3 kids) had a fantastic stay at this house near Chokoku no Mori in Hakone. The home was clean, spacious, and perfectly suited for a family. "The owner was very polite. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The stairs to the second floor were a little steep but it was no issue for me and my friends. The beach is near by and also the train station. Would 100 percent recommend. "

"Wonderfully modern and clean home. The best part was the restaurant next door and the private Onsen soaring tub. They provide a number toiletries as a convenience if you didn’t bring any. The mini splits do take time to warm up the home, but once they do it is very comfortable. "

"The owner is not kind or friendly, I had to wait in rain around 40 minutes before a kind neighbor arrived and helped, no bed is ok but tatami and everything is short, I’m 5’8 only and I had to try sleeping in half moon position, no bathroom attached bed room, at night time you have to go down into a very steep stairs which is dangerous, no taxi can enter the premise and will not come to get you. "

"Hygiene of this property was horrible! The property was full of insects and dirt. Bugs and spiders were everywhere - on dining table, on floor, on wall and even on the bed - literally a bug house! We were scared by a giant spider on the bed. It is beyond a normal hygiene problem but constitutes a safety concern for residents. "We had an amazing stay. It was such a rejuvenating experience! The mat beds were probably the most comfortable sleep we’ve ever gotten and the always hot hot spring tub will be something I dream about forever. Food was amazing, although the portions are almost too much for one meal. We left each meal stuff beyond belief and partially dreaded not being hungry enough to eat the next one haha. Such an amazing stay, we would most definitely come back again!"

"We have stayed here a few times while visiting family. It is without a doubt the cleanest hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. It’s also in a very convenient location, being in downtown Kamakura. The restaurant on site is good, with a very good breakfast buffet. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it is relatively expensive, especially on weekends when the room rates can sometimes be twice or more what you’d pay for a weeknight stay. "
