"The hotel was clean but needs a major renovation. The door to our bathroom didn’t even open all the way because the bed being too close to it. The bathroom was extremely small and not comfortable at all. Probably would choose another hotel next time. "

"We needed a week away from the ice and snow. This was our first trip to the Charleston area. We chose the Tides at Folly beach partially on price and partially on location. We wanted the ocean view and hotel amenities. Folly beach is a nice area with several good restaurants and shops all in walking distance. The Tides hotel is perfectly located at the end of the main street. Our room was very comfortable and the service from the staff was awesome. Pros: Location, service, views,...

"The parking situation needs to be MUCH clearer. I feel the staff should had said that the pricing in garage is very misleading. I ended paying more than 40$ a day and the sign on building says parking will not exceed 24$ a day. The parking is not part of their property and you know it’s a problem because they handed me a piece of paper after the fact that I need to speak to the city "
