"We loved the location, and it's was fun to visit with the animals. Wish we were able to sample some of the chicken eggs. There is a bit of deferred maintenance, some water damage in the kitchen. Would also have been great if there was a hair dryer available, especially as the weather gets colder. All in all a fun stay at a farm with a great location."

Jeff was very responsive to any questions and provided a nicely stocked kitchen and fridge. Lots of space to spread out and comfy beds. We would rent again. "

"Stayed with 12 family members and the location was fantastic. The house was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The guidebook had great suggestions and Randy was highly responsive."

"Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the stay on this lovely farm! The cottage is authentic, comfortable, and well-equipped. Our boys most enjoyed playing with the friendly family pets, as well as taking a stroll through the fields to see some farm animals. The hosts also have a restaurant in town where we had a delightful meal during our stay. My only regret is that our schedule was so full of events that we didn't have even more time to spend in this beautiful and relaxing atmosphere."

The house was on a stunning secluded piece of land outside Charlottesville and offered incredible views. The house was very well appointed and they certainly thought of everything. "We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, taking walks to the river, and relaxing in the house. It's a beautiful setting with lots of room to roam. Communication with the host was great with quick responses to messages. We would love to return!"

"We rented the home for its proximity to Wintergreen for a quick skiing trip,and it was perfect. A cozy older home with a cabin like feel. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Owners were great, get back to you quickly if you have questions. Definitely rent again if we come back to the area."

The chef’s kitchen is stocked with every kitchen cooking utensil you may need. The rooms are just as large as they look in the pictures, so there is plenty of space to spread out and unwind. "My wife and I stayed here overnight following a New Years Eve gathering at Veritas Winery. With only a 6-minute drive and minimal traffic, it was very easy navigating to and from the winery for our event. The unit was very clean and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the host was thoughtful and kind. We have discovered a lovely gem in the Virginia wine country, and we look very forward to our next stay here!"

"Wife and I were looking for a place away from the hustle that comes with NOVA normally, and especially the weekend of the inauguration. I must say we found the absolute best spot. Nelson county has always been a favorite spot for us to go to, but most of the time we have made day trips. I absolutely love being able to post up for a weekend in a quiet setting and being able to relax. Even the pup enjoys the quiet and are keen to relax next to the stoves. "We spent a fun girls weekend at the cottage. It’s exactly as described. Very cute and cozy. It was just far enough away from the bustle of the city but close enough that driving out to the heart of Charlottesville was only 20 mins away. The beds were comfortable and it had everything you needed. "
