The situation above Lago Maggiore was breathtaking and even in the rain the view was ever changing. Out of season the local restaurants were not open but a new supermarket in Stresa with a carpark was good for shopping and the apartment was well equipped for cooking. A handy tip - if the hire car company offers to upgrade to a bigger car, turn them down...

"Clean and compact apartment with everything we needed. Lovely view of some of the lake from the garden and dining room. We went in mid September and the patio was in shade from 2pm onwards which was good as it was still very hot. Five minutes walk down a fairly steep hill to the lake-side and town where the small local shop was situated. It did take a bit longer walking back up the hill! "Keurig modern appartement op 10 min lopen van centrum Arona. Communicatie met de eigenaar is prettig. Buiten zitten op balkon kan zowel in de zon als onder het zonnescherm. Parkeer ruimte is gratis en voldoende aanwezig, wij konden altijd direct voor de ingang parkeren. Wat ik miste waren bier en wijnglazen, maar goed nu hebben we de limonade glazen gebruikt. Prijs en kwaliteit van het appartement zijn volgens mijn mening in goede verhouding. Wij gaan elk jaar ergens anders op vakantie, maar...

"Wir haben die Zeit am Orta-See in Pella sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich (für vier Erwachsene etwas klein), die Terasse ist toll mit Blick auf den See, der Weg zum See wirklich kurz. Super, dass an allen Fenstern Moskitonetze sind! Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und immer ansprechbar."
