"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, located in a peaceful area that's just a short walk from the oceanfront and not far from the town center. There are plenty of great restaurants, bars, and cafés nearby. The breakfast selection was impressive, and the rooftop bar offered amazing views, along with expertly crafted drinks from the talented bartenders. The service was top-notch, with the front desk team being exceptionally friendly, especially Luis who gave us a warm welcome at check-in. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!"

"Terrace Mar was a great hotel to stay a week visit in Madeira. Very easy to walk, catch a bus or taxi. Eduardo and Renato at the front desk was very accommodating. Fatima made an amazing breakfast. We loved the rooftop pool and hot tub."

The location it's conveniently (15-minutes away from Funchal) if you decide not to rent a car since public transportation is reliable in the area, literally there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel.... "The hotel is excellent.Rooms were spacious, we had a superior Ocean View Room, and were very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is on a steep slope and overlooks the Ocean. Handy for the Lido (5 mins walk) but outdoor pool was clean and quite a big pool, with plenty of sunbeds on several levels for when the warmer weather arrives. We visited in January when it was still warm but pool not so important. It also has a nice indoor pool and a larger than usual gym for a hotel. The promenade at Funchal is a healthy walk away, between 40 mins to an hour depending on whether you take a direct route or not and how fit you are to cope with the many slopes in and around Madeira. However, there is a bus stop and a taxi rank within 3-4 mins walk. Taxis cost about 7 euros to Funchal. Hotel has a good breakfast buffet with plenty of options. Only ate in the hotel restaurant one night which was excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel were offering deals for those who wanted to stay on site for evening meals. However, there are many options for eating or a drink within a 10-15 minute walk. Plus many more the further towards Funchal centre you want to go."

"The staff were exceptional. Front desk upon my arrival made me feel very welcome! The staff were friendly and approachable. One was always singing, and actually had a great voice. A lot to do on the property and close to downtown Funchal by walk or by taxi if walking isn’t your thing. "

"Honestly, I thought this hotel was great. I enjoyed my room: clean, with a great shower and it had the benefit of a fridge and a balcony with sea-view. The daily room service was also appreciated. The hotel's team members were friendly and efficient. It had a decent in-house restaurant, but there was also the option of walking for no longer than 10 minutes to get to other restaurants. Good sized pool(s) with plenty of seating. "

"We stayed in an oceanview room with kitchenette, 2 balconies. Very clean. Great location close to shops and bus stop. Daily breakfast was a great assortment and cooked to order eggs. Will stay again."
