As ever the staff and food offerings were excellent, but there were signs of ageing of the property and it needs some updating in some areas. But overall an excellent holiday in a good location but you do need to allow time and patience if using the local buses into Funchel."

"So happy we chose this hotel - a great, quiet location with a fabulous view over the Bay of Funchal, comfortable room (and did I mention the view already?), friendly staff, lovely gardens and pool and the food options were perfect, including the excellent breakfasts."
