"Exceptional experience! An oasis in Funchal! Lovely grounds, exceptionally clean and quiet. Fantastic location from which to walk to all attractions. Host is warm, attentive and knowledgeable. If renting a car, be sure it's a small one as gate is narrow and entry to property is just off the busy roundabout. "

"Lovely cottage in a working banana plantation. Good area close to all amenities and several good restaurants. Property is gated so safe and quiet. Good communications from owners. If going on day trips the property is difficult to stop outside so better to arrange pick-up from hotel just down the road. Not great for anyone who lacks mobility."

"The property was as described and provided a very comfortable base. The property is within easy walking distance of Funchal city centre and the restaurants and amenities of the Lido area. Please be aware though that, if you have any mobility or respiratory issues, it is a steep walk back! We hired a car, a Qashqui, which was on the large side for the awkward gateway and parking arrangement. It was wonderful however to have the independence of a car to explore the island!
