"Bare bones, but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was bottled water in the room and a hot shower (which in Costa Rica is not always a given). I was pleased, too, that they did come pick me up at the airport even though my plane arrived after stated shuttle hours. "

"Communication was easy and fast with the owner, they have the option to leave a key in lockbox for you. This property was pretty big! The whole home sleeps at least eight people, if not more. There is an upstairs ( multiple bedrooms and 1 bath) and a downstairs, a full kitchen, sitting area, a dining area, and a little living room. It was very clean and the bathroom downstairs had a nice spacious shower area. It was just my husband and I, but I would imagine coming here with a family and...

"I made a reservation, and when the date came by, I contact them via text to receive check-in instructions, and they told me they did not had rooms for me. I ask for a refund, and they ghosted me. I highly suggest looking for other places"

"Quiet. Best we slept the whole trip. "

"We loved this little spot! It was a great place to land after our flight. Very close to downtown Alajuela, which meant that we could walk out our door in the morning and find a nice cafe and good food at the Central Market. Our only challenge was that the traffic was quite loud overnight; my partner had a hard time sleeping, even with the provided earplugs. I recommend this location for sure for heavy sleepers."

"Nice property, secure. It has a power gate that opens to let you in and out of the property so on arrival there's a bit of a kerfuffle. Let the owner know when you are arriving I guess. Nice, clean, modern space. Owners/Security were very good. On the downside you are driving everywhere, nothing close. I run, but the street is busy with no sidewalks so not good for that. "The Condo was comfortable, but the water in the sinks wouldn't get hot, even though the shower got hot quickly and had to be turned down low. the only other issue was with the microwave. It took us 2 days before the owner of the condo showed us how to use the microwave and even then, it didn't operate well enough to be able to control the temperature (everything had to be cooked on high), something I rarely do."

"Overall I’m very pleased. While being centrally downtown, there is easy access to banks, museums, parks and a wide choice of food! The only issues were figuring out where the light switches were, getting the shower to turn on and the traffic noise levels. Regardless it’s a great value and I’m headed back there in a few weeks! ¡Pura Vida!"

"The unit was a good size. The bed was comfortable and we had all we needed for housekeeping and cooking for nearly a week. Grocery stores are walking distance. The sites are about 15-20 minutes away walking. Great restaurants to the north in Barrio Escalante. We swam in the slightly heated pool, despite the strong winds. "I arrived early on a Tuesday after flight delays. The place was nice- a lot of construction going on- but nice. Pool looked like it needed a shock but it’s not yet hot enough. Walked into town and enjoyed good food at La casa de Layla. The host was nice. I missed breakfast because I was sleeping soundly. Comfy spot to get adjusted to Tico life. "

"My stay at the Radisson was good. Close proximity to the airport and downtown San Jose. The property room is big and clean compare to be being 30 years old. Cleaning service came every day to clean and provided enough towels each day. The staff were amazing, every single one of them. I was not too impress with the food, but that was not just the food at the hotel but the food in general. I would definitely stay at this hotel again "

"Nice new hotel. Comfortable and clean. We were not happy with the arrangement for pick-up at the airport. No listing for HGI although other hotels were named on signage; we had multiple people trying to hustle us to take rides with them. Thankfully HGI shuttle driver eventually showed up and explained to us that he'd be back soon to pick us up (the hustlers kept saying (lying) that it would take 45 mins for him to return). HGI should have very clear signage at the airport and they should proactively communicate with arriving guests to make sure to only take a ride with the HGI shuttle"
