"I stayed here at the start/end of my Baja cycling trip. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds are very comfortable. Perhaps the only negatives are that dining options are somewhat limited in the area, and I found the room to be quite bright at night with the exterior lights coming through even with the blinds drawn. However those are minor and overall it was a great stay, would recommend it."

"Staff were wonderful, the hot tub of mineral water was superb, the pool a bit chilly but delightful. Their taco Tuesday is not to be missed. And the beach is gorgeous and clean, with nice lounging furniture. The only odd note is the parts of the property that are in a state of decay— a convention center, another pool and hot tub that are decommissioned."

"Casita Tortuga is a charming, classy place for a couple to take in all that the Sea of Cortez has to offer just outside of Los Barriles.It's right on the water -- making it easy to enjoy the jubilant mobula rays, breaching humpback whales, sea birds, sunrise, and stars. It's also a great place from which to snorkel and kayak. For people who enjoy birding, as we do, you will appreciate that the well kept gardens and fruit trees attract a range of non-sea birds too.The hosts are responsive both before and during the stay. Our check in and check out went seamlessly.I really appreciate that the Casita is available for couples looking to rent a private place. Most VRBO homes are appropriate for 4 people, so you end up paying for empty space.We like to cook with fresh local ingredients, and appreciated that the kitchen is well stocked. I'd recommend Casita Tortuga to anyone looking for a special trip to the Gulf of California."
