"I had a 2 night stay with a friend whilst attending a funeral locally. The room was clean and tidy and good sized. we had a meal in the restaurant with other fiends (8of us). Most of us had a good experience. But 3 had an issue with the steaks ordered. They found them to be a little tough to eat. The others all enjoyed what they had ordered. The stay was comfortable and the breakfast buffet had a good selection. There was ample parking,"

"Once again the George Inn proved to be an excellent place to stay. As ever the staff were so friendly and helpful, allowing me to park my car before the actual check in time in their free parking area right outside the premises. A warm welcome was received when we did check in later on and our whole experience was absolutely wonderful. Selby is a lovely town, and with the George Inn being situated right in the centre next to the abbey, all shops, restaurants, cocktail bars, pubs etc are within easy walking distance and completely level, no steep climbs or steps at all. We have stayed here on five separate occasions, each one being a delightful experience from the moment we arrived. Thank you."
