"We stayed at Casa Roland overnight flying in late at night (2:30am). The main door was closed but upon being able to call the hotel, the receptionist was prompt in letting us in at the hotel. The decor of the hotel is ultra unique and is definitely a Commemoration to the Costa Rican history and culture. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel and it's vicinity to the airport was very much appreciated."

"Aunque solo me quedé una noche disfruté mucho de la atención que le brindan a sus huéspedes. Atentos a detalles. Yo tuve una situación de que sin querer se me quedó un objeto de valor y estando en el aeropuerto para irme me percaté. Me puse en contacto con ellos y coordinamos un uber para que me llevara mis pertenencias y el encargado de recepción estuvo en todo momento en comunicación conmigo. 20/10! Excelente servicio !!!"

"Hands down the best place we could have landed after stressful theft which required us to be at the U.S. Embassy at 7am. Jorge at the front desk was our savior, a calm presence who helped print all our paperwork and just be a kind heart in the face of difficult circumstances. This is a budget hotel so certainly not luxe but everything was fine. Bed comfortable enough, good a/c, coffee in room and full breakfast included, free secure parking. Only negative was water never really gets hot but...

"Nice stay in this facility. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was good. Lovely old building. Room was clean. Location was ok for downtown SJ but extra care needed in area very close by. Wouldn't want to stray too far in the wrong direction after dark ( or early Sunday morning as we did !) would recommend this place. "
