"Stayed for our first night on arriving in Costa Rica. Transport from airport to the hotel was provided and excellent. Room was very comfortable with good air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent. Amazing pool area. We have booked to stay the last night of our holidays and will definitely be taking a dip in the pool. "

During a very difficult time—our son required emergency surgery at nearby Clínica Bíblica—Jason showed incredible kindness and support. I sincerely hope Gran Hotel recognizes what an exceptional team member they have in him. Beyond Jason, the porters and concierge staff were also excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional. The food at the hotel was very good, with the brunch standing out as a highlight. The location is ideal—within walking distance to several museums and just across the street from the National Theatre. All in all, a fantastic hotel in a prime location. You really can’t go wrong here. And if you have the chance, be sure to ask for Jason."

"Shana is definitely better than the other hotel we stayed at. The playa biseanz is a wonderful beach with iguana’s and crab’s and clear water. We got a Royal jungle view with private pool - I would say the room and the bathroom were amazing but the private is outside and not connected to your room. We had to call front desk every time to turn the pool on and the lights didn't work which becomes dark to swim after sunset. The breakfast was amazing and all the facilities were provided. Overall I would say Shana is a top-class hotel and it is worth the price to stay."

"The room and bathroom were immaculate and roomy. We had a wonderful dinner in the hotel restaurant up on the 4th floor looking out over the city. We ate in the lovely outdoor dining area surrounded by bougainvilleas. It was the best good of our trip to Costa Rica. The breakfast buffet the next morning was very nice with many options and excellent service. "
