"Lovely property! The bakery is unique lodging and was in an excellent location to explore Normandy. The walk into Bayeux was a bit long but lovely along a river. We visited the DDay sites as well as Mont St Michel by car. The owner lives in a large house on the property and was very welcoming and informative, though with no one present on arrival it was easy to follow directions to access the property. This is absolutely a great location to stay if you are travelling in Normandy by car. "

"What a wonderful place! We are a family of four and were worried that our two boys would run out of things to do but they loved it! The garden is big enough to explore, play football, badminton and get lost in. The swing and outdoor shower were an added bonus. The house is perfectly located 1hr from Caen, 20 minutes from Vire and an easy drive to the D day beaches. "Winter holiday to see the WWII sites and local historical sites. Jean-Claude took care of us really well and his Gite is quite nice. "

"We had a lovely couple of nights. The cottage was equipped with everything that you may need and was beautifully furnished. We loved sitting on the edge of the sweetcorn fields and watching the butterflies. So close to WW2 beaches."

"A lovely cottage with a lot of character. Amazing communication and help from the owner. Lovely setting, near to a lot of places of interest to go with the family. Rooms are all a lot larger than appear in the pictures. Nearby field outside the village has a very friendly little horse too!"

Heureusement qu’il y a l’extérieur et qu’il faisait bon… Par contre, l’intérieur est un mobilhome.. donc très étroit et pour ce qui est des couchages… mieux vaut avoir un bon dos..Et pour 6… un peu rude non? "Our stay at the cottage was ok, the pool is lovely and the hot tub is a plus. The cottage is very small, we are a family of 4 which was tight. 6 people would be too many as there is only a sofa bed to sit on in the living room so people have to sit at the dinner table in the evening. Thankfully we didn’t need to use the sofa bed as it was broken. We did inform the owner who said she was aware it was broken but didn’t say it would be fixed or a new sofa bought. "Unfortunately I was unable to stay at this property due to an unexpected family hospitalisation. The communication with the owner was excellent from the time of the booking to the understanding and the support when I had to cancel at the last minute. We will certainly be rebooking this property again in the near future"
