"Lovely property! The bakery is unique lodging and was in an excellent location to explore Normandy. The walk into Bayeux was a bit long but lovely along a river. We visited the DDay sites as well as Mont St Michel by car. The owner lives in a large house on the property and was very welcoming and informative, though with no one present on arrival it was easy to follow directions to access the property. This is absolutely a great location to stay if you are travelling in Normandy by car. "

"What a wonderful place! We are a family of four and were worried that our two boys would run out of things to do but they loved it! The garden is big enough to explore, play football, badminton and get lost in. The swing and outdoor shower were an added bonus. "Winter holiday to see the WWII sites and local historical sites. Jean-Claude took care of us really well and his Gite is quite nice. "

"We had a lovely couple of nights. The cottage was equipped with everything that you may need and was beautifully furnished. We loved sitting on the edge of the sweetcorn fields and watching the butterflies. So close to WW2 beaches."

"A lovely cottage with a lot of character. Amazing communication and help from the owner. Lovely setting, near to a lot of places of interest to go with the family. Rooms are all a lot larger than appear in the pictures. Nearby field outside the village has a very friendly little horse too!"

"Our stay at the cottage was ok, the pool is lovely and the hot tub is a plus. The cottage is very small, we are a family of 4 which was tight. 6 people would be too many as there is only a sofa bed to sit on in the living room so people have to sit at the dinner table in the evening. Thankfully we didn’t need to use the sofa bed as it was broken. We did inform the owner who said she was aware it was broken but didn’t say it would be fixed or a new sofa bought. "The check in/ check out procedure was made super simple but a very easy to communicate with host. Bar, restaurant, shop and fuel station are all a short walk away. Highly recommended place to stay!!"

"We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Catherine’s beautiful gîte! We drove from the UK and met up with the grandparents from the US in order to see all of the D-Day sites. This location was absolutely perfect to visit sites around Bayeux and also Utah Beach and Ste Mere Eglise. "Unfortunately I was unable to stay at this property due to an unexpected family hospitalisation. The communication with the owner was excellent from the time of the booking to the understanding and the support when I had to cancel at the last minute. We will certainly be rebooking this property again in the near future"

"The location of this property is perfect. Easy to walk to the train and a cute little downtown! The property manager went above and beyond. She picked us up at the train, even though it was only a four block walk to the apartment. Very cute apt, she left a wonderful detailed book on everything in the apartment. Would definitely stay here again."

"Clariss did an excellent job with communication and it was helpful. She went as far as to pick us up at the train station and help us get into the apartment. It was bright and airy located a beautiful street lined with cafes, shops and restaurants. The only drawback is the stairs that you needed to climb.
