But be aware that a big apartment complex is being built next door, with trucks and caterpillars starting to rumble around shortly after 7 in the morning. You should also know that the dirt road leading to the property can be difficult to pass with a regular vehicle after heavy rain."

"Love this place. It may seem small but it has everything it needs!! Fully surrounded by trees and nature, and there’s even a little river close by. There is hot water, and also an included breakfast, loved this since I didn’t have to worry about waking up and trying to come up with something to eat. If he food was really good. Both Hosts were just lovely and amazing. Really would come back here."

"The villa was just like in the pictures. The communication process throughout the stay and registration with the owner assistant Franceska was great. The villa Host Samuel and his wife Marie were amazing, attentive to what we needed, and welcoming. Everything about our stay was great no complains, although coming up to the villa was a bit of a journey but worth it."

The management company sent someone within 15-20 minutes, but we still had to wait in the alley in the rain. Thankfully it was still daylight when it happened, but something to be sure to ask about during check in....

"Estrella del Norte was just that. An amazing stay, the villa was in great condition. Nina was beyond fantastic with her service and her cooking. She went above and beyond for everything. We would def stay here again. I do suggest that if you go in the wetter or colder month to have a 4x4 vehicle as the roads are not the best and the location of the house has a few steep slopes. "Casa del Rio is phenomenal. The pictures do not do it justice. The common spaces are comfortable, and each bedroom has a full bathroom, and the bedrooms are, moreover, away from each other, so a big group (we were 11) can have privacy. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained, the pool likewise, and the view is incredible. Add to that a lovely breeze and beach, and it's paradise. But the best part of our stay was the staff, who took care of us and fed us the best Caribbean food...
