"All staff were extremely helpful and efficient. The dining options and valet parking were convenient with good service. However, it’s the first hotel that I have stayed in that does not have a separate bathroom - even a sliding door across the bathroom area would be better"

"Second time staying here as my children (and I) absolutely love it. This is a charming property and the historical elements are so interesting. The foyer is fascinating for children with the old fashioned phone and grand piano. Excellent location, easy walking distance to the park, lakefront and many restaurants. Very good breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable and pool is lovely. "

"Wonderful to stay in the garden caravan with my young son. Pam and Nev are wonderful hosts, the Caravan is spotless and perfect place to stay. Brilliant location right on the lakeside, playground, bush walks, golf and Rotorua just 20 minutes or so away. This was our second visit and we had such a good time. Thank you for having us. "

"Service was amazing! Staff were so helpful and accommodating and she always had a smile on her face. Awesome value for money! The only downsides I would say is we had someone below us that didn’t follow the time rules of the pool & their hot tub & were outside very loud with their children waking us up, I don’t find fault with the staff but it would be great if the time rules were enforced. And the stairs up stairs was a bit scary walking up in the middle of the rain because it’s so slippery. "
