"The hotel was lovely and in a brilliant location in the centre of Rye. There are lots of really good restaurants nearby. We didn’t have a drink in the hotel bar, but it looked nice and welcoming. We were upgraded to a luxury room, which had a roll top bath and a huge, really comfy bed! I have given 5 stars instead of 4 as the B&B rate only included a continental breakfast and you had to pay extra for a cooked. This was the only negative."

"Everything you need for a few nights stay. Walking distance to local shops, bars and the Abbey. Situated in tbe heart of 1066 country on the high street in Battle East Sussex. Only negitive, asked at the recepition about breakfast in the resurant, guy showed us a menu, asked him if he would recomended it he said NO they have only been doing breakfast a coupe of months and pointed us down the road onto the high street to bakery/cafe. "We stayed on a Sunday night in a HUGE family room. Beautiful high ceilings and a stunning stained glass window in an old building. The room was clean and had complimentary tea/coffee/milk etc and bottled water. The small bathroom was functional and clean and met all of our needs. The beds were comfy and we all slept very well.
