"Rooms were very nice. Mini fridge in your room and help yourself area in the corridor that had plenty of snacks and breakfast items. I was in room one, felt like it had been recently renovated, or they keep a room very well. Booking in and checking out is easy. Would stay again. Pub is also great. "

"This property was perfect for our needs, working at a conference in the city. We arrived 9pm and left early both days, so just needed a place to sleep. Private carpark round the rear of property. Close to metro (tram) stop and an easy 20 minutes by car from the city centre (less for Salford Quays or Old Trafford). Apart from check-in we never saw anyone during our weekend stay. Host was contactable by mobile if we needed (which we didn't). Self service breakfast provided (cereals) as under new...

"Great location and great price but bathroom and kitchen area are tired looking and outdated. Bedroom smelt but was only there to sleep. Traffic noise from 6am felt constant for about 2 hours. Checking in and the codes were simple to use."

"Not been back home to Southport in twenty years. I wanted a hotel just off the beaten track. Leicester road, know it well. Service is all about time, skill and dedication and after a lifetime in catering. You get that at the Leicester hotel. "On checking in we were not told that there would be no housekeeping on Saturday or Sunday. We had tiny bottles of toiletries between two for 4 days. Tea/ coffee service was there but the cups were not changed every day and we ran out of supplies. And bed was not made Really bad value I’m afraid. "
