Note that while it's great to be near so much pedestrian-only shopping and a market atmosphere it does mean your taxi cannot come to the door. You do need to be prepared to move your luggage manually about 80 metres to/from a vehicle. "Good for a stopover"

"The flat was functional and good enough for our stay but definitely needs some attention. There was everything we needed in terms of kitchenware, bedding and towels etc but it definitely could have been cleaner. There are patches of damp particularly in the bathrooms and the en-suite shower was boiling hot. The upstairs room, where there are 2 sofa beds, was damp smelling and sparse. The location is perfect, not picturesque but right off the Main Street, 5 minutes walk from the castle and river."
