"The Golden Star hotel is it within walking distance of the train station. It's located in a commercial area, but we were extremely happy with the hotel itself. It was very clean and comfortable. The manager was extremely proactive and took care of the issues we were having which were very minor. I highly recommend this hotel."

" Very nice owners and staff that go out of their way to be helpful, friendly and kept asking if we needed anything or could they help making our stay any better. Location is very walkable to a nice Shopping Mall with many very good restaurants both inside and nearby the Mall. Also walkable to the Christchurch Train Station, and City buses are also nearby, which can take you almost anywhere inside the Christchurch limits and many nearby Suburbs. "
