"I've stayed at most of the Minocqua motels over the years, and I think, for a basic room, this is probably the nicest and best value in town. Rooms are large, modern, and comfortable. It is nice to have the pub and food available onsite, though the selection is pretty limited. Two quibbles: (1) the breakfast offering is pretty basic, though typical for motels, and (2) I wish the rooms had carpet. My room had bare vinyl plank flooring throughout, which seems a bit cold."

"We stayed in the hotel room. It had a nice kitchen and bathroom. No dishwasher so you are responsible to sterilize all the eating and cooking utensils before you leave. The sofa was the only place to sit other than at a table. The sofa was broken down and very uncomfortable to sit in and get out of. The bed was king size with 3 pillows and ok to sleep on. The bathroom was fixed up nicely. The area around the lodge needed a lot of work, paint, walkways (some closed), etc as well as the...

"The lodge is a wonderful place to get away to birch trees and smell off clean pine air. Our lake view was amazing. The leaves were just beginning to show the onset of fall with few hues of red and orange. We took many walks around the property enjoying the woods and lake. The resort was quiet but people hanging out at the beach or fisherman taking their boats early in the morning. The pool and spa were used a few times. It should open early. The kitchen and dining were stocked to meet our needs....

"They have us a room under repair, the toilet was literally in the spa tub in the main section of the room. I had to go request a different room, which put us farther away from our party."
