"Great pub food, really friendly staff and clean rooms. Couldn’t recommend Penny Hedge enough. Breakfast was good value for money too. Right beside Whitby Gin if you want to go in for a tour. Walk down into Whitby was easy enough but uphill on the way back! "

"Looked after extremely well. Not certain about the lack of amenities in the double room for disabled people. Nowhere to hang bathroom robes or wash bags and for a non-disabled person the wash basin was extremely low, small and difficult as an older person to use. "

"The Seaton Lane Inn is a lovely warm and cosey pub and hotel, the food is amazing and the rooms are fantastic. The staff offered a warm welcome on arrival and could not do enough. Looking forward to stay again. "

"Staff was very friendly & helpful plenty of choice to eat in the restaurant, down sides there was a work station in the room but no chair to sit on to work, TV was very hit and miss it is free view and most of the channels didn’t work toilet roll was just placed on the top of the holder which is very lazy by housekeeping. Bed had sharp wooden corners on it which I caught my shin on 3 or 4 times I’m sure it would be easy enough to make the corners round instead of sharp "

"Lovely, quiet and comfortable place for a weekend getaway. Easy reach of Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Nice local walks, too. Good pub food and a great breakfast. Staff so friendly and helpful. Amazing value for money too! "
