"First time staying at the Pavilion Hotel York, and it certainly wont be the last, beautiful country house hotel, with beautiful grounds and interior, first impression of walking in the door was a very clean and welcoming place, Staff were very friendly, welcoming and polite, nothing was to much trouble. Our room was on the ground floor which really suited me as i had just recently had a knee operation and was worried about the stairs. (I had previously emailed the hotel to request this) our room was bright clean and well decorated beds were comfortable and the room was lovely and warm. Breakfast was beautiful very good selection cereals, fruit, yoghurt danish pastry, full English (bacon could have been cooked a bit more, looked a bit undercooked) plus more choice on the menu. overall a very good weekend away busses stop outide the hotel every 10 minutes to York and its only 10 minutes to York designer outlet. We have always stayed in the city when visiting York, but now the Hotel Pavilion will be iur first choice."

"Easy to find and lots of parking. Good on site restaurant with lovely breakfast at good price. Staff lovely and helpful. Bed was huge and underfloor heating in the bathroom a pleasant surprise. Just down the road is an outlet centre with lots of food outlets. Hard to beat for the price. "

"Lovely hotel in a great location for York racecourse and a short taxi ride into the city centre (or 30 min walk). Rooms are very well appointed although the bathroom could be upgraded with dual flush toilet etc. Bed was very comfortable and noise was at a minimum. Staff are helpful and friendly. We like that the pool was open till 11pm"
