It was right on the water, with a perfect view. The breakfast buffet had a endless variety of selections. The location of the hotel was perfect. It was in walking distance of restaurants and the mall. The hotel coordinated a great half day tour that was informative and showed great views of the island. We will definately return for another AMAZING Vacation"

"Loved Malta stay at Grand Hotel Excelsior. The moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and welcome drink. Raj Kumar was very friendly and helpful from front desk. He guided us on taking the Gozo day trip on our own. Excellent customer service by Raj and all others at the hotel. Reading some negative reviews on the hotel I was bit hesitant on booking, but the hotel exceeded our expectations. Hotel is walkable to the main center of Valleta. Rooms were spacious with daily housekeeping. We enjoyed our stay three days stay with Excelsior. Breakfast was good with ample choices. We would certainly stay here on our next Malta trip. Highly recommend it. "

"Malta is an exceptional country. This hotel, while not in Valletta proper, is on a number of bus routes. Malta has no train so all transportation is by bus or ferry. It's very easy. The hotel is terrific. No complaints. "

"Everything perfect. Stayed a few times before and still perfect. Staff the friendlies ive had in all the years ive been going to Malta. Maybe the staff on the outside bar could smile a bit 😄but it didnt bother us .First class from the reception staff especially Hicham, that sorted out a little problem straight away. Lovely man. Hotel was absolutely spotless, and considering how full the hotel was hats off to each and every one .Room was cleaned every day with again lovely staff .Hopefully it wont be our last stay at the brilliant hotel ,even though we are both in our seventies now ."

"Upon arrival we were upgraded to a sea view room without asking. The room was very spacious with a huge sun terrace, a main room with queen size bed and lounge and a second bedroom with a king size bed and second bathroom. The showers were outstanding powerful and easily adjusted (still miss my shower now) We had bed and breakfast at breakfast there was plenty to choose all being freshly cooked in front of you, with a large selection of fruit and pastries also. Not many good places in the local are to eat to be honest but getting a taxi was literally instantaneous and was very reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again"
