"We enjoyed our stay. Not sure it is a 5 star hotel but definitely 4! The room had high ceilings and a tall window looking on to a courtyard. The bed was comfortable. Everything to Ortigia was within walking distance. The roof top patio was a lovely addition and we enjoyed reading and soaking up some sun .. in November which was lovely. "Emanuella was extremely helpful. Before we arrrived she sent me multiple what’s app notices on parking information and for our arrival. She was very nice and very helpful even with the dinner suggestions. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Close to all the sites. Would recommend it to everyone who is coming to Siracusa. "

"This was a last minute booking for one night at half 3 in the afternoon. What a fantastic find! There wasn't much around at the end of October and based on reviews and us having a car, we went for this. "The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing sites to see and places to eat. Since there’s limited driving in the area they try as much as possible to arrange parking and transportation. The room and hotel is very unique with art and architecture. They provided a great bottle of red wine for being a VIP on Expedia. Trully a peaceful haven

"Photos are accurate. A comfortable rustic house with a lovely garden and pool that provides a secluded peaceful haven for a relaxing time. Surrounded by orange and olive groves. Nice cantina in local village and other restaurants 20 min drive away. Key tourist sites in the east of the island are 1-2 hrs away. You will return home very rested. A warm welcome from Franco, the owner, and Francesca who is a very attentive guide for the visitor, always available on WhatsApp, and speaks great English. "

"Host was very friendly and accommodating. Villa was very basic. No mid stay clean on a two week booking. Beautiful views and a lovely pool. Quite noisy due to farming equipment and joy riding mopeds etc."

"A truly delightful stay. Borgo del Carato is beautifully restored, and located in beautiful surroundings. The first thing that struck us is how the air is rich with the scent of orange and wisteria blossom and the garden in the morning full of birdsong. The team were all friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. And the food is delicious, with an excellent breakfast (the cakes deserve special mention) and a superb five course evening meal made of fresh local ingredients. Overall we couldn’t be happier with our stay. My only regret is that we only booked for two nights - I would love to come back for longer."
