"The room was spacious and clean. Absolutely no complaints. One night the disco was going and it was a bit loud. The breakfast (which was an additional charge) was not good at all. Very little selection and nothing like the breakfast we have had in all other places in Italy. "

"We enjoyed very much the Sicilian food at breakfast and the wonderful evening meals. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the company at meals was splendid. The room could have been more comfortable but it was early in the year. Had we come later we would have been able to sit outside and enjoy the pretty courtyard. We had a memorable stay and a real taste of Sicilian cuisine and lifestyle."

We chose to stay in Floridia to give easy access to the Catania airport for an early flight. Trully a peaceful haven

"Photos are accurate. A comfortable rustic house with a lovely garden and pool that provides a secluded peaceful haven for a relaxing time. Surrounded by orange and olive groves. Nice cantina in local village and other restaurants 20 min drive away. Key tourist sites in the east of the island are 1-2 hrs away. You will return home very rested. A warm welcome from Franco, the owner, and Francesca who is a very attentive guide for the visitor, always available on WhatsApp, and speaks great English. "

"A truly delightful stay. Borgo del Carato is beautifully restored, and located in beautiful surroundings. The first thing that struck us is how the air is rich with the scent of orange and wisteria blossom and the garden in the morning full of birdsong. The team were all friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. And the food is delicious, with an excellent breakfast (the cakes deserve special mention) and a superb five course evening meal made of fresh local ingredients. Overall we couldn’t be happier with our stay. My only regret is that we only booked for two nights - I would love to come back for longer."
