"The hotel was located in a great area for birding. You could bird watch by the pool in the morning , or while eating breakfast on the patio. Jason was a great host , really friendly and accommodating. I will definitely book here again. Thanks Jason. Pura Vida."

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"This is a very nice hotel, HOWEVER, BEAR with me. It is clean, nice staff. Nice property. I expect to stay again as I love Carrillo but will book directly with them. AND NOW - THE HOWEVER. they are no longer working with HOtels.com, Expedia and the travel sites. We booked 2 nights with hotels.com, for 1/31/23, arrived, only to find out they are no longer working with these vendors. Fortunately, they had a room and we stayed there the 2 nights."
