"Lesley's attention to detail is everywhere. In the comfort bedding, the soft fabrics, the beautiful tile and clever workmanship in the room, the soft scent of clean in there. The gardens and blooms are well tended also in this wonderful location. The fresh farm house breakfast overlooking the pool & mountains was joyful. I liked the company of Mickey and Nutella, two well behaved pooches who lay by my feet & smiled. ( I swear they did). And what's not to smile about here where the veggies grow...

"Man merkt, dass sowohl die Ferienwohnung wie auch das Anwesen mit viel Liebe geführt wird. Umgeben von vielen blühenden Sträuchern, die wunderbar duften, konnten wir die Ruhe genießen und entspannen. Wir haben uns selbst bei Regen wohl gefühlt, dank der gemütlichen Einrichtung. "After a curious approach. The owner met us there and showed us around. It was a very quite, beautiful mountain apartment. Details outdoors were evident and comfort inside was great. This is just a peaceful beautiful place which capped of our italian tour perfectly. To return i would stay at least 3 nights. It is worth it. The area is stunning with many things to do"

"A quiet place on the hillside surrounded by trees, a swimming pool for refreshment. The hosts are helpful. Needs more attention to cleanliness and updating some furniture. Wifi works fine but mobile connection is not working."

"The house is an absolutely stunning location. Breath taking views every morning, even if the weather did always play ball. There are some lovely areas to walk in and explore nearby and a few very nice local restaurants but these can get booked up very quickly. Even when it was raining we enjoyed our stay as the dense forests provided plenty of cover and there are excellent trips to caves and nearby cities such as Lucca and Barga that are easy drives. The roads in the valley are quite narrow...

"The location was perfect. We fell in love with Castiglione de Garfagnana and the view from our accommodation was spectacular. We also loved the sounds of the church and cow bells! The accommodation was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed daily walks to the village for morning cappuccini and exploring the local villages and countryside by car. The train station in Castelnuovo made it convenient for day trips to Lucca and Florence. The notes provided by Friends of Tuscany were really helpful. The...
