"Lovely friendly efficient staff. Public areas very nice and clean. Good choice at breakfast. The room was a bit tired and needed a refurbishment. Balcony door was very heavy and difficult to open. Overall a very good stay."

"Honestly when I read the reviews about this place after my husband booked, I was very sceptical. People said it was dirty, had cockroaches, no hot water. None of this was true. About the hot water, you must realize that water heaters in Europe are half the size of North American ones. We had plenty of hot water. The only thing we didn't like are the beds are a little hard but it was the same at the previous place we stayed. We made do. Also tile floors are always cold which I'm not fond of but...

"We had the most delightful stay at “Girafe” ! David welcomed us at the flat and answered any questions we had. The location was fantastic.. gorgeous beach view, easy access to the beautiful beach, great restaurants (enjoyed Adris, great food and friendly staff). Definitely recommend this gem!"

"The apartment is close to Tres Castelos beach and some very good restaurants. Very good value for money, as we stayed for a month. The lifts were always working and reliable. There is a concierge in the building for any emergencies. The apartment is well equipped for cooking and has a washing machine so we had a mixture of eating in and going to restaurants. There is a bus route fairly near but we used local taxis to get to bus and train stations and taxis are good value. The bath and shower...
