"The property needs upkeep and maintenance. It has the potential to do well but even the restaurant served cold chicken wings and when they said they would remake it, they microwaved the food and reserved it to us. "

"Honestly when I read the reviews about this place after my husband booked, I was very sceptical. People said it was dirty, had cockroaches, no hot water. None of this was true. About the hot water, you must realize that water heaters in Europe are half the size of North American ones. We had plenty of hot water. "The apartment is close to Tres Castelos beach and some very good restaurants. Very good value for money, as we stayed for a month. The lifts were always working and reliable. There is a concierge in the building for any emergencies. The apartment is well equipped for cooking and has a washing machine so we had a mixture of eating in and going to restaurants. There is a bus route fairly near but we used local taxis to get to bus and train stations and taxis are good value. The bath and shower...

"The preservation of the original home and its fine architecture, Brazilian wood, and gorgeous hand painted tiles was meticulous and made for a very special stay. We really enjoyed the incredible presentation of our salt crusted sea bass at dinner. The service and food were top notch. We were also delighted with our gracious room upgrade, bottle of champagne upon arrival. Delightful property!"
