"I very much enjoyed my stay here. It was such a welcoming place and the room I was in was fantastic. I had a nice room with a view which was a bonus. The room was clean and well presented with the decor being tasteful. The location is near enough away to be away from the busy streets but close enough to the best spots. I would highly recommend this place and glad that I stayed here."

"Lovely quiet hotel but everything in walkable distance. Lovely warm spacious room with all things necessary for a 5 day stay. Lovely place to have breakfast under the roof with exposed ancient timbers. The breakfast was amazing with a fantastic choice. Did I say 'lovely' yes it was !"

"Good location and room was very clean. There was a stain on the pillow cover but I didn't sleep on that side. Breakfast was great selection and warm food was appreciated. Staff at breakfast were attentive. I would stay here again. Good price for the room and what you get. The shower place to stand is however quite small. I am over over 6ft and it was quite awkward however at times. The ceiling is very low above the shower. Shower pressure was good, which is appreciated."

The downside is that was separate from the main hotel and had many stairs to climb (no elevator in this section), fortunately they do have porters available. The room could have been a bit cleaner (dust in places), but the price more than offset that minor detail. "
