"Can’t fault this hotel it has everything. Lovely rooms, place to relax in the swimming/sauna area. The restaurant was so nice with amazing food and lovely staff. The lounge is a cosy place to chill and have a drink in front of the fire places. Overall a lovely hotel that’s not far from anything, is affordable and offers so much. We have already planned to return "

"On way back from top of Scotland this was a lovely stop over, amazing views of the hills. Staff fantastic, food excellent good bar selection and a fab lounge with log burner for the guests. Rooms are perfect for what you need. Only minor gripe is the mattress on the bed was a bit tired and could do with changing. Overall fab place. Defo use again"

"Stayed in the Winander Club, room 888 which was excellent. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had our own reception area which was quick. Our room as on the top floor with only one other room. We had a really comfortable bed, bath in main room, good. Size bathroom with nice products and complimentary sweets. But by far the best selling point is the room balcony with amazing views of lake Windermere. Nothing better than sitting have a morning tea / coffee looking at the lake and fells in the cool morning air. Ultimately we can't fault this hotel and our going to look to make it out base to celebrate our wedding anniversary every year. Our only suggestion would be for there to be outside towels to dry off plastic balcony furniture and perhaps blankets so you can spend more time enjoying the outside room space as there are no heaters."

"Absolutely no allowance for early check-in. Common areas are lovely and cozy. Great and plentiful breakfast options. We had a long haul to our room lugging suitcases up and down many sets of stairs."
