Would describe The Falmouth as " faded elegance". "A lovely hotel, although in a residential area. Short walk to the sea. Wonderful surprise for my upgraded room. Only disappointment, I was unable to use the pool as it needed to be tested. I got up early to go for a walk before the pool opened at 7.30am. I got back at the hotel at 7.00am to have a coffee and get my swimming things to then be told the pool would not be opening until it had been tested, which would be around 9.00am. "We had a couple of nights here whilst bringing my son down to start uni at Falmouth. The hotel is set in its own grounds so feels like the countryside, but only a 25 minute walk into Falmouth centre which incidentally is a lovely place. "We travelled as a family of three and really enjoyed that the beach, attractions and dining were all in a comfortable walking distance. The staff at the hotel were lovely and accommodating. Although there was building work going on nearby (not at the hotel itself) this didn’t disrupt our stay as work didn’t seem to start earlier than 8/8:30am.
