"We stayed for a few nights in a 2-bedroom lodge, during October half term. We had a lovely time. As a family of four, we found the lodge to be really nicely sized. The children had their own room with 2 single beds. It was clean and we appreciated all the little things to make our life easier (tea & coffee, dishwasher tablet, etc.). We used the pool once. "Absolutely perfect stay until the morning we left. There was no hot water at all so no one in the hotel could have bath /shower. Felt it was dealt with very slowly still not fixed when we checked out at 11am. Not much of an apology from front of house. "

"A very warm and welcoming Hotel. On arrival, the lovely receptionist 'Great welcoming smile!!' to a very cheerful and polite head restaurant waiter. The food was excellent and my room was 100% I will certainly be staying here again for my business trips. "

"Stayed in November, chalet was very warm and cosy. Great walks."

"The room was no 24. A junior suite. Very nice room. Warm and cosy. Bathroom had some signs if wear. Shower very slippery. Overall a nice comfy room snd comfy bed. Disappointed with menu ! Expected more choice and better quality & presentation. Great to have a breakfast cooked and not buffett. Lovely staff, pleasant & helpful."

"Nice old pub, friendly staff, reasonably priced menu. Room was small but nice. Good choice of beverages. However the bathroom was icy cold with no form of heating, the hot water tap wasn't much more than a dribble and the shower very dangerous as it went from scalding to freezing with only the tiniest touch on the dial. My husband warned me not to use it."

"Was a very comfortable and extremely well kept and maintained property. Dining facility was excellent and despite the food restrictions we had the kitchen served a lovely dinner and an excellent choice for breakfast. A short trip in the midst of Storm Bert. Will return during summer "

"You can tell there are grand plans for this fabulous hotel. So glad it is being preserved as a hotel. We love staying here and since the takeover it is much improved. Staff deserve a special mention as they all went out of their way to help us have a great stay. We will definitely be back! "

"My room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was quite powerful and plenty of hot water. The breakfast is large and very tasty. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is very good, right next to the sea and about twenty minute walk into the town. I would recommend the hotel. "

"I visited this hotel on business recently and I was surprised how nice it was. They had made a huge effort with the decor going up the stairs and also so really noticed all the Christmas decorations which made it feel extremely festive and seasonal. The staff were very friendly and chatty and were also extremely attentive and professional. Prices of food were on the expensive side however it was of very very good quality.
