"Upon arrival the front garden was a bit overgrown making it difficult to see the house name and number, cleaned up and tidied by Saturday night when we got back. Good job. Upon entering the house it was very untidy with lots of old electrical items lying around. Entering the so called communal room was pretty much the same with old lps lying all over the place and a turntable lying on floor. This sort of thing doesn’t bother me but it does others. All it needs is a good clear out of junk?....

"Unterkunft sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Im ganzen Haus liegt alter staubiger Teppichboden aus. Zimmer sehr altbacken. Leider war der Wasserkocher so alt und/oder nicht richtig gereinigt, dass sich das Material am Boden gelöst hat und Schimmel darin war auch nicht auszuschließen. Eigentümerin hatte mich herfahren und parken sehen, kam aus ihrem Cottage heraus und lief an mir vorbei ohne zu warten oder grüßen. Sie wusste genau, dass ich ein Gast des Hauses bin. Etwas sonderbar."

"Lovely B&B in a quiet country location at Mauchline outside Kilmarnock. Modern house surrounded by peaceful countryside surrounded by farmland with views over to Arran on the horizon. The room was comfortable and clean with all amenities and free wifi available.
