"The hotel was not far from the Plaza Vieja which was good. But the area it was in was typical of most of Havana - run down and grubby. The hotel had been restored nicely and the rooms sympathetic to the original style and fairly basic. Don’t expect hot water. The staff were really, really nice and helpful."

"Our stay in Cuba was made memorable with the help of the owner, Ma. Teresa and her property Manager, Mirelis. They made sure that we have what we needed. Ma. Teresa booked for us a tour guide and a convertible and Mirelis helped us book a taxi and introduced us to a money changer who came to the apartment and exchange our $ to CUP! The apartment is very accessible to plaza Vieja and PLaza San Francisco and its a walking distance to almost all of the importanat sights.. We were never hungry...

"We had a wonderful time at Hostal Los Villanueva. We were welcomed by friendly Elias upon arrival and met Moises who work at the Hostal. They were very helpful and friendly, we felt like home! They not only looked after us but we had insightful talks with them and learned a lot about Cuba, very interesting!
